Monday December 5th, 2016

The designation of EDP's NPL as a qualifying league for the new, groundbreaking Elite National Premier League (ENPL) will raise its competitive platform to an even higher level.

US Club Soccer announced that, starting in the Fall of 2017, teams in EDP's U14 - U19 NPL age groups will be part of the ENPL program and will earn qualification to the postseason ENPL Playoffs based on their performances throughout regular season play in their respective competitions. The first ENPL Playoffs will be held in June of 2018.

"This is great news for EDP," Alan Shilling, CEO of EDP said. "With our clubs now being able to participate in the ENPL platform and compete at a top regional and national level, our members will be able to continuously create high level development environments for their players."

TSF Academy Director, Lee Bakewell added, "TSF Academy are excited at EDP's designation as an ENPL Qualifying League and just goes to re-emphasize the excellent work EDP and its support staff have put in over many years to provide a great platform for the players, not just at TSF but for all member clubs. It is important to have healthy competition and this just goes to further strengthen our opportunities as a club to provide the best environment for our players."

ENPL will feature the very best boys players within US Club Soccer. Top finishers from EDP ENPL and other ENPL leagues across the country, as well as ECNL Boys will come together in the postseason ENPL Playoffs.
